125 die daily due to smoking in South Africa

About 125 of the 23 percent of South Africans who smoke die from the habit every day, the National Council Against Smoking said on Friday.This results in 44,400 deaths a year, the council said in a statement. Asantehene advices students on smoking

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has sternly warned students in the country against involving in immoral behavior which can have adverse effects on their survival. He particularly bemoaned situations whereby school going children who are Ghana’s future leaders drink and smoke openly during inter schools athletic competitions.
